The British Gas Online Recruitment application allows the British Gas Services recruitment team to run their entire recruitment process online. Recruiters can set up their own campaigns which are linked to postcode groupings and role types to which candidates can apply.

Candidates’ progress and scores are recorded as they pass through aptitude and personality assessments before completing an online application form. If a candidate is successful at this stage they are automatically invited back to the website to book a slot when they can attend an assessment centre interview.

The system provides rich reporting in Microsoft Word format on each candidate and even suggests suitable interview questions based on their performance.

UCLH Medical Emergencies

With 6 hospitals in London UCLH is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK. UCLH sees over 700,000 outpatients and admits over 120,000 patients every year.

The UCLH Medical Emergencies website allows users from both within the Trust and externally to quickly identify medical emergency procedure documents by either navigating the configurable category taxonomy, using the comprehensive keyword search or selecting it from their list of most viewed documents.

Trust administrators can update their documents quickly and easily using the bespoke CMS and change reports allow them to keep track of these changes. End Users are alerted to new and changed documents through optional email alerts and a 'New Documents' area on their homepage.

The system is monetised for external users and administrators from within each Trust have complete management of their users.

Aston Business Assessments Website

Aston Business Assessments is a spin out company from Aston University and its leading business school.

The Aston Business Assessments website allows respondents to complete the ABA personality assessment in an easy to use tick box format from any location.

A specific Client Zone allows ABA clients to log in and create and manage their campaigns. Personlised reports are created for each Respondent in PDF format and are available to Clients in this area.

A bespoke Admin Zone allows administrators at ABA complete control of the system. Administrators are able to view Client Usage Reports for invoicing purposes and create new report types with dynamic narrative based on the respondents scores.

Grazing Food Website

Grazing Food is a catering business located in the City of London. Grazing Food required a website to support their delivery service, taking customers orders and payment online and thus reducing the administrative overhead associated with taking order offline.

In addition to single orders for meetings or conferences, Grazing Food have a unique group delivery service for companies that provide lunches for their employees. The website facilitates this service by allowing customers to create their own groups of users within the website. These users are then able to login individually to make their lunch selection (based on a monetary limit set by the company administrator). These are then grouped together and delivered at a specified time straight to the employees desk.

A full management area allows Grazing Food to manage all content on the website and orders placed through the website. A reporting system produces reports for the kitchen to use in the preparation of orders. Additionally the system also contains a comprehensive invoicing system that allows larger organisation with a credit facility to be automatically invoiced.

Westminster International

As a leading global fire, safety, security, and defence group operating in more than 47 countries, Westminster Group wanted to expand its business with enhanced digital marketing through a cutting-edge e-commerce Web site.

The project entailed developing a website with: multilingual support; secure e-commerce; secure access to files for agents & partners; encrypted enquiry facilities; personalised customer account centres; site-wide search of all products & datasheets; interactive worldwide 'contact us' facility; related product suggestions and a product library five times greater than the previous site.

We also had to factor in low bandwidth constraints for some of the Asian and African markets, technology compatibility and advanced security encryption which was crucial to Westminster maintaining their market leading position in the global security and defence market.

WorkPlace Systems Plc is one of the world-leading suppliers of integrated web-based Workforce Management Solutions and provides integrated Workforce Management Solutions to corporate customers, worldwide.

WorkPlace Systems had a requirement to have their current website redesigned and redeveloped to; improve on the existing design and layout, implement some more "on-site" search engine optimisation techniques and also to make it possible for more of the sites content to be controlled by the marketing department within the company.

We implemented an advanced CMS system that gave Workplace staff great flexibility to easily create new pages and format them as they wished as well as edit existing ones without compromising the websites "search engine friendliness".

Novartis

Novartis AG is one of the largest and most widely respected pharmaceutical companies in the world.

The Novartis Online Assessment system was designed to assess the Personality and Verbal and Numerical skills of potential sales staff throughout the various operating territories of Novartis. On this basis the site was built to ensure that the interface as well as the generated reports could be presented in different languages.

We created a system that allows the easy export of all the applications languages resources to Microsoft Excel whereby the copy can be translated and then imported back into the system with only a few mouse clicks. This system means that administrators can manage publishing new language versions without having to invest in extra website development.

The site initially went live in Russian and English.

ASDA Jobs Online

The ASDA Online Recruitment website is used to evaluate the suitability of candidates applying for graduate and management job roles at ASDA.

Candidates select from job role types in their local region and then register to begin the assessment process. According to the job role they have selected they complete aptitude tests, a personality questionnaire and in- depth application forms regarding their university or work experience. They also upload their CV and internal management reports if they already work for ASDA.

Scores are automatically calculated for each candidate that completes the process, and these scores help ASDA recruiters make the decision of who to invite to the next round of assessment.

Experian - Commercial Autoscore

AVAMAE worked with live|work, a company that specialises in Service Design, to produce a prototype of a new corporate credit scoring system for Experian. The prototype was intended to demonstrate the full functionality of the system to internal stakeholders as well as potential customers and so had to have a fully functional user interface, even though the data and backend processing logic was not in place.

Live|work designed the user interface and AVAMAE were responsible for implementing it using advanced XHTML and CSS as well as JQuery.

AVAMAE also developed a database backend to the system using Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to support the dynamic data requirements of the prototype.

British Airways

The British Airways Assessment website provides the Ability Testing and Personality Assessment components of a Candidate's application for a position with British Airways.

The website is setup to receive Candidates seamlessly from the existing front-end job application website, where they start their application process, assess them, and then pass them seamlessly back to that recruitment website. In order to make this possible this project makes extensive use of Web Service technology for passing data between the two applications.

Rich reporting on Candidates' performance on the assessments is passed back to the recruitment application website in Microsoft Word format for use in subsequent job interviews.

Strengths Partnership Limited - Strengthscope

Strengthscope is an assessment tool that provides a comprehensive measurement of an individual's strengths and talents and the extent to which these are productively applied at work. The site also gathers multi-rater feedback from work colleagues and key persons outside of work on the extent to which the person’s strengths are demonstrated through their actions.

Strengthscope can report at the level of the individual, or a number of individuals can be grouped together into a team. Reports are downloaded in .PDF format and show complex diagrams and charts indicating the individual or team’s strengths and the level to which these are being used within the working environment.

Specsavers Optical Group Limited – Specsavers Professional Selection

The Specsavers Professional Selection system is used to recruit suitable candidates to work at Specsavers. The application presents candidates with ability tests and a personality questionnaire. Candidates’ scores are automatically calculated by the system, generating an overall suitability score which indicates whether a candidate should progress to the next stage in the recruitment process.

The site includes extensive candidate management functionality and output is in the form of complex reports in .PDF format.
