Streamlined Operations and an Improved User Experience

UK Therapy Guide bridges the gap between its network of trained therapists, counsellors and psychotherapists and its local communities in the UK, providing a transactional therapy platform which connects a nationwide directory of verified therapists to users seeking therapy.

For those who are time-poor, getting access to therapy can be a challenge. Enabling visitors to easily find and book a face-to-face, telephone or Skype session at their convenience can provide a life line to those who are struggling to create a balance between their busy lives and their well-being.

 
 

The Brief

We were briefed with refreshing the site on both the front and back-end, to make it easier to use and give it a cleaner, more modern look and feel. Functionally, the focus was on clear sign-posting to overcome the operational issues from the existing build.

 

The Challenge

The challenge of streamlining operations was creating a solution which worked for everyone cohesively. It needed to improve efficiency, cutting down on the time spent by visitors booking suitable treatment and the time spent by the UK Therapy Guide team managing therapists and bookings.

The needs of each user are different. Visitors to the site needed to be able to either reach out to UK Therapy Guide and be matched up with a suitable therapist, or search for the relevant one and have control over making contact themselves. Therapists needed to be able to register with the service, advertise their services and availability, update their profiles and contact potential clients. The UK Therapy Guide team needed to be able have an open dialogue with therapists through the back-end, manage payments and view historical booking, payment and therapist subscription details.

The offering for all parties needed to be strengthened in a consistent and sustainable way.

 
 

The Solution

We used wireframes to establish a clear hierarchy of information, allowing users easy movement through the site. We built the CMS and integrations around this to make the experience intuitive and provide as much automation as possible.

A secure members’ section can be accessed - after a therapist has been through a registration and verification process – which allows the therapist to easily update details and make contact with potential clients.

A bespoke Content Management System allows the client to manage the pipeline of live opportunities, including producing invoices and contacting members quickly.
